When I was on a photo hunting @ China Town area - Singapore, luckily I saw this uncle lay down there, soon I grab my gear and get this shot
Another miniature effect collections of mine. It's the roof-top pool which was also taken from Orchard Central - Singapore
This was taken during the sunrise time @ Merlion Place. I always love this picture as it really shows the beauty of Singapore

Those spices framed on this picture were available on my kitchen. So, instead of hunt the spices photo outside, I decided to "DIY" at home, and this is it!

The 1st intention of shooting this picture was to capture the booze's images that mostly become part of the party.

Looked back at this week's theme, I found out that this image can tell another story that really fit the subject "Family" as well. They are indeed like brothers. The small, fat, and wild Absolute Vodka is the younger brother of the tall, skinny, and elegant Belvedere Vodka, hahahahaaaa......

Hope you guys love it as well!

Honestly speaking, I really don't know what kind of drinks were that. I just knew that those drinks were colorful, looked refreshing and cool. Hence It also represented the theme itself.

I purposely converted the background into B/W to enhance the foreground color, and it really works well. For me, the drinks color's so prominent and the composition was just nice, perfect for celebrating the Independence Day, even it was way too late....LOL

05-11Jun2011: Party
Oh no...it's been almost 2 months I haven't made progress on my 52 weekly project. And it's really fun and excited being back into track. Here comes my entry, which I dedicated to all the party goers around the globe.

A bucket of ice, cup and a bottle of liquor always be the best accompany for every party lovers. But always remember my friends, excessive intakes of al****l will ruin your life, indeed. Try to wash out this bad habit and experience a better life with your loved ones.

I purposely did a white-out feeling of this images, to deliver the message I mentioned. Hope it really works as expected.

Hi guys, just wanna sharing my happy moments when I was having dinner @ Kiseki (Japanese Buffet) The Heeren - Singapore a few days back, celebrated my 1st wedding anniversary with my lovely wife. The food was fantastic and this cup of tea was my closing menu of the day.

The message I wish to bring here is not the eagerness to drink a cup of tea (some of you may feel it), but the temptation to bring out your creativity, the creativity to keep learning on something you love, and the love to keep working hard on achieving your big dreams. Be tempted to do something out-of-the-box and out-of-your-mind in a positive ways to produce something remarkable and worth to be remembered of. Hope it works! Happy tempted...LOL

Ooopss....another out-dated picture again. So sorry guys, couldn't manage to get any new photos currently, but I hope this entry suit the theme. It was taken during my photo hunting @ Chinatown area - Singapore a few months back. The message I wanna bring here is quite straight-forward: "Will we be tempted to smile/laugh, every time we see something cute and funny, especially unusual one?". Like what I saw that day, It indeed made me smile and burst-up my eagerness to take this shot....the way the seller show his drinks samples was really cute, creative and quite special......So, be smile always to make our life healthier!

27Feb-05Mar: Vegetables, originally uploaded by b0y_m3nth4.
This week entry is all about vegetables. Been so busy and almost forget about my weekly project. Just managed to get this shot few days after this topic "supposed" to be expired...LOL. When my wife was about to eat this veggie, I realized that this veggie really have a unique shape. Immediately grab the veggie and quickly made a shot before it withered.

Converted the image into B/W and combined the sepia (highlight color, darken blend mode, 30% opacity) and cyan (shadow color, lighten blend mode, 15% opacity) color to bring up this tone. Hope you like it guys....

9-15Jan2011: Breakfast(2), originally uploaded by b0y_m3nth4.

It's my 2nd post of the year for my 52 weekly project. It was a tough week for me, cause Breakfast topic is so huge, so many variations, few numbers of choices and options we can shoot. I just didn't have any workable idea how to shoot something different for delivering this topic (Breakfast), until that Saturday morning.

I decided to made my own chocolate wheat pancake Breakfast and shoot my own creation. Luckily, when I went outside, purposely looked for a nature light to support my shot, just a few steps away from my apartment's door, I saw this sun light stream penetrated to my apartment's corridor. Took few numbers of shots and this is my final result after post-processing applied to remove the details of the floor tiles (I thought by removing the lines pattern of the floor tiles will turn-up my focal point) and gave kinda sepia effect to bring up the chocolate mood. Still comments and critics are always welcome guys...

2-8Jan2011: Cold(1), originally uploaded by b0y_m3nth4.

The first thing came up in my mind when I thought about "cold" was ice. Since I live in a tropical city-state country of Singapore, which doesn't have winter, I just gave-up my idea of shooting those fancy snowy things. This topic quite bothersome for me as a beginner in photography, especially commit in this project. Then idea was coming when I stared at my ice container in my freezer that afternoon. The preparation itself took me about 30 minutes. I stacked over those ice cubes inside my freezer with the door keep opened. When it started to melt, I need to close the door for a while, then continued stacking. Repeated for quite some times, until I got this shot. Honestly, I took more and more frame to get this final shot which I like the most.

For the lighting, I put the torch LED light behind those stacked ice. To added-up the cold mood, I used the Fluorescent +3 white balance. However, the result was not amazing, the blue tone was too much, that's why post-processing were applied by adjusting the brightness, contrast, hue-saturation to reduce the blue tone and increasing the sharpness. And here comes the final result. Critiques and comments are welcome.... :)
