Priceless Smiles

When I was on a photo hunting @ China Town area - Singapore, luckily I saw this uncle lay down there, soon I grab my gear and get this shot
Another miniature effect collections of mine. It's the roof-top pool which was also taken from Orchard Central - Singapore
This was taken during the sunrise time @ Merlion Place. I always love this picture as it really shows the beauty of Singapore

Someone said a good portrait is 99% expression, and I 100% agree with it. As what I experienced when documented Simon and Jasmine ROM. Beside the extraordinary venue, breathtaking view, and cloudy wonderful weather, the expressions of the peoples on board were really gorgeous. For me and maybe for some, it could be our very first experience cruised on yacht and celebrated a special moment on the sea, and I believe we were all having so much fun that day.

But what made that day so important was it marked the day when both were commit each other to bring their relationship into a new life, a marriage life. The life when it's not solely about survival, it's about living our daily life to its fullest. One life ends, another begin. Frustration and disappointment could surface, but conflict is an optional. When one person is not enough, always remember the power of "we". Sacrifice oneself not for the spouse, but for the sake of the unity of our relationship. Those are some essences of marriage that we should have always learned.

Nevertheless, the couple's never-ending smiles gave more color to the day and somehow it took me a seamless effort to capture them on the frame, as their expressions were always natural. It's always my personal enjoyment watching people in love and see how they interact with each other, how sweet and playful they are. Without further a do, here, I proudly present the story of our next love birds, Simon and Jasmine.

To fall in love with someone is sometimes effortless, yet to create a true love and build a strong relationship is another story that one could possibly give up easily. I guess, this couple have shown us the second is totally a gone case, never even written on their love journey, even though distance separates them apart.

Since the day they've known each other through a social media and became an icon, time has always been their most valuable treasure. Times when they were together was never been wasted on something trivial, as they were separated hundreds miles away from each other, and only on a special occasion or during holidays, Hendra will pay a visit to Nelly's hometown. That was the days when they poured their love with fresh condiments. Days to smile...Days to laugh...Days to hug and kisses.

Thanks to their great commitment and strong soul, they have declared to move their relationship to the next level. They have drawn a line and ready to take their FIRST STEPS to their dreams that lie beyond. Wish you both a wonderful and everlasting love journey...

It's not only the lavish wedding celebration itself does matter to every bride and groom, it is also the memory they experienced. We believe every couples will hope that all the time, energy and small little details they had put into their wedding plan, will result in a very unique and memorable moments that shared with family and friends. Some will say "my best memory was when I made a grand entrance". Some say "the most memorable moment of my wedding was being able to catch up on weeks of lost sleep after it was over".

We believe the most memorable one is when the wedding is over and everything turned out to be great. All the beautiful, awful, yet terrible moments happened become real memories. Relief, satisfy, proud, and excitement blend together closing the big day. That's what we see on Jason and Jasmine. During preparation days, and in the morning of their big day itself, they looked nervous and anxious. Luckily, as the time passed by, their burden diminished and their smiles started to burst-out, and it really made the day. Hence, during the evening banquet, they were full of emotions and love, they looked really gorgeous, happy, and everything was heartfelt.

Thank you guys for letting us be a part of your day. Congratulations for both of you and may your journey together be everlasting.

Here is the sneak peak of their wedding day...

When people think of Korea, they tend to speak up about kimchi, the famous Korean drama, Girl's Generation, country with good foods, fashionable folks, and the latest Samsung devices. Not to forget, Korea is rich-culture country with numbers of beautiful scenery, and famous for it's traditional Hanok houses where we also spent our times there.

Frankly speaking, on the beginning, it was a challenge to shoot them, as they felt a bit stuffy. Perhaps, it was the first time they took a free-n-easy photo session as such. Luckily, as the times went by, they were used to it, and we kinda clicked with their gestures. We managed to spot and captured their great chemistry on a frame, though. What a joy we had.

We believe as we were overseas, there's always room for unexpected things, things that were awkward, things that were absurd. Coincidentally, that day was Bams's birthday and we used this special celebration as part of their journey, which we felt memorable indeed.

Another unique experience we had, was the day when we run into Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju city. It was a long trip, and we arrived nicely at their closing time (6 PM). Instead of rushed towards ticket counter, we were happily spent times at a Sakura Garden when we spotted during our way up, and it was worth it (one of the reasons why we chose this temple among others). Probably, that day were our lucky day, the lady sold us the tickets and the guard permitted us to enter the temple, amidst other visitors who rushed home. By any chances, this could be our first time enjoying public premises as the only visitors. It is really a quiet and lovely temple, contrast from the chaotic and busy city like Seoul. As we really had fun there, plenty of beautiful images were captured, blended with the couple's souls that made them alive. We had hopped onto some other places to continue their loving journey. Here you go....

Being part of a friend's wedding is always such a pleasure. The warmth and intimacy of the day, made the moments captured more tangible. It's the day when Richard and Michelle bind their love and became a life partner. The celebration was not a grandeur, but the love they expressed was so great, so natural, so life! Emotion that flows within really made the day.

Wish you guys the best in life.....and love in abundance!

One of my favorite moment in a wedding, beside the seemingly obvious, is the gate crash. It will always fun, unique, momentous and become the must-have show during the wedding nowadays. As what happened on the Siti - Noorizar wedding day.

The groom was welcomed by the Kompang performers and being escorted throughout the gates. First group was bride's sisters which acted as a ticket counter before entering the show. Followed by brides' parents which required the groom to say the best love poet for the bride. Next, two knights holding the spears blocked his way were the bride's brothers. To pass the 3rd test, the groom and his black knights must perform a special dance as the keyword to unlock the gate. Finally, before he reached the podium and secured a seat beside the queen, he must win her grandfather's heart.

The wedding was a truly reflection of the couples love and the families warmth. It was awesome, fun and full of joy. What a simple yet wonderful celebration they had, and the couples knew how to have a good time. Congrats for both of you!

Enjoy their pics....

It was a nice and sunny day under Singapore sky, when Cedric and Geri put their relationship into the next level, Marriage. Couldn't agree more that day were the most happiest day for both of them. Witnessed by their loving parents and families, friends and relatives, they both declared their vows and bestowed upon each other, promised one to another to sail through the new marriage life under one wedding matrimony.

Though, their solemnization was quite long (probably the longest I have ever experienced here in Singapore), their expressions were still gorgeous. They took it lightly, and enjoyed each and every word spoken by the solemnizer, without the hesitation to always smile, smirk, laugh and express their love to each other. So envious!

Tea ceremony was also part of this celebration, which marked their Chinese tradition. And the tantalizing foods prepared by Tung Lok Signatures' chefs complemented the day perfectly. Here are the sneak peak..

This restaurant wedding was belong to the happy couples, Elvin and Hong Si, whose celebrated their solemnization and banquet. Beneath the ceiling of Ban Heng Pavilion Restaurant, that day, they forever pronounced as husband and wife. And from that day onward, they become one and will always wholeheartedly be one...

We always believe that a photo can be a very powerful tools to unite peoples. As what captured during their special day, they might not be technically outstanding, but they reflected the soul of the peoples being captured, delivered the message to audience, and complement each others molded the chronicles of their love story. Wish you guys all the happiness and fun in life!

Wedding is no ordinary affair for most of us. Every single moment means a lot to the wedded couples and families. And we believe what captured in camera does not lie or acting, it expresses the happiness, joy, laughter, and love of a soul. It also have the power to tell millions of story behind a single photograph.

Here comes the story of 2 lovers, Joshua and Claire, celebrated their matrimony in a grandeur party under the roof of Orchard Hotel - Singapore few times back. The ambience was pleasing, guests were dressed amazingly, foods were gorgeous, and laughter was everywhere. Hope it really preserves the wonderful and sweet moments of your wedding day. Be a happy couples always!

Celebrating Christmas is something that most of us are waiting for. It’s the season of joy, gift giving, festive foods, music & carolling, and of course holiday season. Wedding in another hand, is the most sacred moment in our lifetime that most of us will celebrate in a very special way. The very lucky couples that happened to celebrate this double happiness were Jeffry and Grace, as they tied the knot on last Christmas Eve 2011 under the roof of Dozo Restaurant – Valley Point. Though it just a simple lunch party with direct families and close friends, the essence of this matrimony still prominent. The vows were changing, rings were exchanged, and laughter was surfaced. Jeffry is really destined to be a mate to Grace, as love was always whispering around them. Wish you both a wonderful marriage life ahead.

It was a big day for Raymond and Winnie, as they were changing vows, said I Do to one another and tied the knot of being one in a sacred wedding matrimony. In this life-changing moment, peoples tend to get caught in a stress, hassle, or irregular emotions that would sometimes diminish the cheer atmosphere of this special celebration. Thankfully, they are indeed a fun and loving couples who enjoyed the moments, lavished their smiles & laughter, and showered the day with their love. Ended-up it really became a delightful day for the couples and families. Raymond and Winnie, have a happy marriage life ahead!

An intimate wedding affair is always a time we are waiting for, we are delightfully celebrate for, and always be remembered for every single person alive. Simple celebration could also turn out to be great gracious moments of life. It's not about the party, nor the food, it's all about the couples who celebrate or observe with dignity and gravity on the solemnization day, the families who support the loving couples, and the relatives who share the joy of this happy marriage, bundled together and bring out the comfy ambience of this special day @ Peony Jade - Keppel Club for Lionel and Xin Yi. Happy marriage, guys. Wish you all the best!

David is a nice and fair guy, and I believe he will be a loving husband for Amy. As the sun rose over the head, the couples united in a holy matrimony, bestow upon each other and pronounced as husband & wife in front of the altar of the Church of Divine Mercy, Pasir Ris – Singapore. Families, relatives and friends gathered in a tranquil mass celebration, and were witnessed the unity of 2 lovebirds embarked on the new journey in life. They truly had a fuss free and memorable church wedding. Once again, Proficiat guys!
